Auto-next episode in Tevium: how it works

Tevium can automatically play the next episode of a series, with a still-watching prompt so you stay in control. Here is how it works.

Auto-next episode is the binge-watching feature in Tevium: finish an episode and the next one starts on its own. Here is how it works and how to tune it.

How auto-next works

When you finish an episode of a series, Tevium checks whether the next episode is available and automatically starts it. It only applies to series episodes, not movies or live TV.

If you stop an episode partway through and explicitly go back, Tevium treats that as intentional and does not auto-advance, so you are not yanked into the next episode against your will.

The still-watching prompt

If you have been watching for a while, Tevium shows a still watching prompt before it continues. This is the feature that stops a series from playing into an empty room while you have fallen asleep.

You can set how many episodes play before the prompt appears, and how close to the end the next episode starts.

How to configure it

Open Settings, then playback, and look for Auto-play next episode. From there you can:

  • Turn auto-next on or off
  • Set the threshold for when the next episode begins
  • Toggle and tune the still-watching prompt

Why it matters

Auto-next is a small feature that makes a big difference to series watching. It removes the fiddly step of manually starting each episode, while the still-watching prompt keeps you in control.
