Tevium vs Stremio: bring live IPTV and addons together
Compare Tevium IPTV and addon viewing with Stremio, its free player and optional Supporter plans.
If you use Stremio addons and also have an IPTV provider, Tevium brings both into one TV interface. Stremio remains a strong choice when addon discovery and torrent support are central to your setup.
Direct IPTV management versus addon-first viewing
Tevium accepts an M3U playlist, Xtream Codes login or Stalker source directly. It builds your channel guide and provider library, with compatible Stremio addons alongside the IPTV sections.
Stremio is organised around addons that provide catalogues, metadata and stream results. Some provide live TV too, so Stremio should not be described as incapable of playing live channels. The difference is the setup: Tevium gives you direct provider imports, channel groups, guide matching, catch-up and recording in a dedicated IPTV workflow.
The TV guide
Tevium's guide is part of its Android TV experience. Browse programmes while the preview plays, then open a channel or archived programme from the same interface.
Stremio's Desktop and Web releases include EPG support. Client differences matter: if you are choosing for an Android TV box, compare the Android TV workflow rather than a Desktop screenshot.
Addons and debrid
Both use compatible Stremio addons. Tevium browses catalogues and plays supported returned stream URLs. Configure your own debrid account in the relevant addon when using a debrid service.
Stremio has a broader torrent-oriented ecosystem. Tevium's HTTP player does not turn a torrent-only result into a playable URL by itself. That is a reason to keep Stremio if torrent handling is important to your sources.
Prices
| Plan | Tevium | Stremio |
|---|---|---|
| Core player | Free | Free |
| Monthly paid plan | US$1.99 | $3.49 Supporter |
| Yearly paid plan | US$15.99 | $39.99 Supporter |
| Lifetime paid plan | US$39.99 | $199.99 Supporter |
Stremio's paid plans are optional Supporter plans. Its core player stays free. Supporter adds perks including up to six profiles, child-safe profiles and catalogue tools. You do not need Supporter simply to use free core playback.
Tevium paid plans cover five devices. Provider and debrid fees are separate from either player's price.
