Tevium vs Sparkle TV: addons or a DVR-first setup?
Compare IPTV, Stremio addons, local timeshift, recording, multiview and the price of Tevium and Sparkle TV.
Choose Tevium for IPTV and Stremio addons together. Choose Sparkle TV for local timeshift and a home PVR setup. Both are Android TV players, but the source workflow and DVR features give you a clear way to choose.
Pricing
| Plan | Tevium | Sparkle TV Plus |
|---|---|---|

Sparkle's Plus prices are lower. The official website includes DVR, local timeshift, movies/series and multiple sources in Plus. Tevium prices are in USD; competitor store prices and tax can vary by region.
Channels, movies and series
Both work with M3U and Xtream Codes sources, guide data and provider catch-up. Tevium also supports Stalker sources, favourites, channel tools and a two-dimensional guide with preview playback.
For on-demand viewing, Tevium combines provider libraries with compatible Stremio addon catalogues. Detail screens, My List, continue watching and auto-next episode keep the viewing routine inside one interface. Sparkle's movies and series sit within Plus and its IPTV/PVR workflow.
Where Sparkle is especially strong
Sparkle supports home-server and tuner sources including Tvheadend, HDHomeRun and DVBViewer. That is a meaningful advantage if your setup includes a home PVR.
Its local timeshift feature stores a buffer so you can pause and seek live streams. Tevium's provider catch-up uses an archive supplied by your service. Choose local timeshift when pausing the live feed is the requirement, rather than opening an archived programme.
Sparkle also offers multiview. Tevium does not currently include local-buffer timeshift or multiview.
Where Tevium fits better
Tevium brings Stremio addons into the same interface as the live guide and provider library. Sparkle does not include that built-in addon catalogue workflow. If your evening moves between channels, a provider series and an addon film, this is Tevium's clearest advantage.
Tevium also offers household profiles and optional account sync for supported setup and viewing state. Both players have AFR, so refresh-rate matching alone is not a reason to switch.
Our recommendation
Pick Tevium for the combined IPTV/addon library and profiles. Pick Sparkle TV for local timeshift, multiview, PVR sources or the lower Plus price.
