How to add Xtream Codes to Tevium

A step-by-step guide to connecting your Xtream Codes IPTV provider to Tevium on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV.

Adding Xtream Codes to Tevium takes about a minute. Here is the exact process, plus what to do if something goes wrong.

Before you start

You need three things from your IPTV provider:

  1. The server URL (often looks like http://yourprovider.xyz:8080)
  2. Your username
  3. Your password

If your provider gave you an M3U link instead, that is a different flow, covered in our M3U guide.

Step 1: Open Tevium

Launch Tevium on your device. On first run it opens the playlist setup screen automatically. If you are adding a second playlist later, open Settings, then Add playlist.

Step 2: Choose Xtream Codes

Select Xtream Codes as the source type.

Step 3: Enter your provider details

Enter the server URL, username and password exactly as your provider gave them. The server URL should not include a trailing slash, and if your provider uses a specific port, keep it.

Step 4: Connect

Select Connect. Tevium will sign in to your provider and pull down:

  • Live channels and categories
  • The EPG (programme guide) schedule
  • Movies and series, where your provider offers them

Step 5: Start watching

Once loaded, your channels and guide are ready. Use the guide to browse, and press select on a channel to start playback.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Xtream Codes login fail?

The most common causes are a trailing space in the username or password, an extra slash on the server URL, or the provider being temporarily offline. Double-check the details and try again.

Can I add more than one playlist?

Yes. Tevium supports multiple playlists, and you can switch between them from the sidebar.

Is my Xtream Codes password stored safely?

Provider credentials are used to connect to your provider. If you enable account sync, credentials and source URLs also reach the Tevium account service over HTTPS. Stored credential records use a server-held encryption key, so sync is not end-to-end encrypted. Android uses Keystore-backed storage where available. See the privacy policy before enabling sync.

My channels load but the EPG is empty. Why?

Your provider's EPG is either not attached to the playlist or is temporarily unavailable. Tevium can often fill the guide from an alternative EPG URL if your provider supplies one.
